The Canberra Region Morris Minor Club

The Canberra Region Morris Minor Club was formed on 25 May 1980 with an initial membership of 45. Its first newsletter was produced in July 1980 and in August the first organised club outing saw a Morris Minor cavalcade head off to Queanbeyan. This was not the biggest journey in the world but the first of many and more adventurous events. The club was incorporated in May 1988.

The club operates under a constitution and is managed by a committee comprising a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and other members. Of these other, several key positions are fulfilled; namely: the Public Officer, Newsletter Editor, National Rally delegates, Librarian and Technical and Membership Officer.

Membership of the Canberra Region Morris Minor Club offers…

The opportunity to meet people with similar interests, a monthly club newsletter, access to a comprehensive library and a supply of parts held by the club and advice, assistance from experienced Morris Minor restorers and modifiers and outings around the region. We believe cars are for enjoying, not just looking at!

We offer access to the ACT’s Concessional Registration Scheme, allowing the conditional use of heritage and older vehicles at a reduced registration, and the additional protection of Public Liability Insurance cover.

Club objectives:

  • To encourage and assist in the preservation of original, restored and modified Morris Minors
  • To promote interest in the Marque
  • To encourage courtesy, good driving and safety on the roads.

The Canberra Region Morris Minor Club is proud to be associated with the Council of ACT Motoring Clubs.
